    Hello Dp Members,

I have a doubt, whether is it worth investing money in google adwords or just waste of money? I want to advertise some affiliate sites, but need some tips on it.

Any form of paid advertising requires proper planning and adwords
is inclusive. Basically, you will need to know the product and then work
out what keywords you think people will want to search for and set
how much you are willing to pay for these.

A few things you should consider further is the affiliate product you
are promoting. Check its sales copy, its price and commission (e.g
if you promote an $8 product for 50% commission, you will need to
sell 10 copies to make $40 while a similar product selling at $40
will make you $200 for 10 copies sold at 50% commission with
    probably the same cost implication)

So, basically adsense is to deliver the traffic for you which if
you do things right, it will but it is left to you to make a profit
fromt that traffic and it might eventually mean doing a lot more
than just setting up adwords and sending them to the affiliate
    site.

You may need to build squeeze (email capture) pages, create
your own followup system, build a list and email similarly related
products after a few good newsletters etc

    I do hope this helps.

PPC is great, provided you know what you are doing. If you do your homework and do the proper keyword research, and find the right niche, it can be very profitable. I don't recommend jumping into it until you have read up on it and have a good understanding of how to run a PPC campaign.

I like it compared to article marketing because the results are instant. You don't have to wait for articles to get approved and bust your axx writing them:))
On the other hand, you can use PPC to determine if a niche is profitable. If it is, you can then build out a site and pay someone to write your articles for you and have a nice long term income stream.

How does Google Generate it's income?

You think they do 21 Billion from people who are not making money?

It's all about what you can make work for you... take a lot of time figuring out what works or you lose big. It's really that simple. No one knows what you can do and other peoples opinons don't matter.

Ye of course it works - you'll just need to be prepared to take some losses as you refine your sales funnel.

I think Adwords is an area where it's easy to lose money. You'll need to be prepared to learn, or else hire someone who already knows the ropes.

You do have to do research, but the most effective research is seeing how it works in real life on your own adwords campaign. Set your max spend carefully so you can learn without losing more than you can afford.

Yes, learned the hard way. We started with a broad range of words and a $100.00 per day plan. It was used in a heart beat with no real sales. We spend very little now and a very defined 2 word combination canpaign and our conversions are over 50%.

Didn't Google just get done 'slapping' affiliate sites using Adwords last fall? I seem to recall they were doing away with allowing affiliate marketing. Something about it was ruining the user experience or something...

adwords pricing varies a lot if you are giving it at google searches or network partners .. the cost is much more for the search results (nearly $1 to $1.5+ per clicks ) whereas if its in network sites its about ($0.25 to $1.25 per clicks) google never gives you false clicks my experience of last 11 months says so . for example if you give provision for $50 per day budget if there are not clicks google may even charge you as low as $10 per day, by that I mean only the clicks ,it can be even lower.. my business is up and running only with adwords it only for last one month i am into this backlink generation to increase my PR and organic rank.

True, it may work this way. That's why it takes time for you to analyze your keywords, do the split testing and evaluate conversions. Also, all is learned along Google Adwords pages and Tools. If you're not keen to review the points, follow terms and conditions, you'll not get successful results any longer.

if the product or service under sale is a low priced one in that case adwords with google search result is not affordable. for ex. if the service or product under consideration is just $8 then one cannot afford adwords. from my experience i have observed unique 8-10% conversion from clicks.
