I have a site that has two pages that get a large number of impressions. One page gets about 90% of the clicks and the other page, getting the same amount of impressions doesn't get that many. My question is, does the low CTR affect the eCPM of my daily revenue? Should I keep it in there? or will taking it out make my other clicks generate more revenue? I'm experiementing with this, but I want to know what you experienced people think (before I go and lose money) Thanks all!
Adding low CTR ad units to a page will not affect the eCPM of your other ads. But, adding ad units that don't convert well will lower the eCPM of your other ads. Let's define some thing to make what I said clear. CTR is the number of clicks divided by the number of impressions. Conversion is the number of final sales divided by the number of clicks. Google tracks conversion from preferred AdSense customers who have agreed to this additional level of reporting.
