Is it worth doing SEO on a sandbox site?:

If a new site is stuck in the sandbox, and only time is going to get it out of there. Is there any point doing SEO other than getting back links together?

What do you meann -doing SEO?
    Optimise webpages, or increase backlinks?
    My strategy is:
    1. add new information (very slowly in compare with normal)
    2. Do regular open dirs registation + article submittion
    3. In total 1-2 medium backlinks from pages with PR 3-4

When the sandbox is off, I'll increase addition of new material to normal rate and start to develop baklinks with more effective techniques.

I've had sites stuck in the sandbox, and I found that the only way to get them out was to keep working on them. Sure enough, as I improved the content, pages slowly began to be indexed on Google! Keep working on it, and it's sure to pay off in the long run as Google starts indexing you'll have a site that's ready for the visitors who arrive!

The more you work on the sites the better the chances to get the site of the sandbox fast

Giving up a site just because you think it might never get out of the sandbox then you doom the site forever

Keep working and you will be rewarded

    thanks

ANother commonly cited solution is to get links from authority sites. Some new web2.0 dont even experience sandbox despite being a new domain

My 3 month old domain was on page3 on a competitive word and I kept building link to make it come to page2 or page1 and it dropped to page 15th today.
