Is it worth creating a high quality bidding directory?

    Hi,
I think this is my 1000th post here. I have been offering various seo and data entry services here at DP and some other places as a freelancer for 3 years. Recently I started a company and trained my staff in link building process. So right now i am planning to start my own websites and promote them apart from my regular clients.

I have the belief to create a website and rank them in top 3 position in google with white hat methods. As a new addition I would like to include a directory in my portfolio for making regular income.

I already have a pr3 general directory. This makes me around 30$ per month. In the recent times, i am seeing a lot of $2 bidding directories pop-up. Do you think is it worth creating and growing a bidding directory.

Personally i have never used them for my seo. What you guys think, is there still demand for quality bidding directories? If i create a bidding directory and manage it well and build quality links to get some page rank, will people be buying links in it?

Or should i rather go for a niche directory ? Kindly advice.

I don't think the words high quality and bidding go together very well in today's world.

Google is not happy with the bidding directories at all.

There are a very few exceptions, but 99% of the bidding directories are penalized by Google.

If your looking to make some extra money then yeah they are worth it. If your looking for PR from google then like others said its a waste of time.

Somehow I believe our interpretation/definition of "quality links" differ greatly; I seriously doubt that you'd be able to get any "quality links" for your bidding directory. I'd think you'd do much better with a niche directory.
