Is it wordpress i need

Hey guys, i want to setup a site i can enter content into the article bit easily.

Anyway the thing is i dont want it set up as a blog more content management.

I dont want catergories for the blog is that easily changeable?

I dont want all of the article posts on the main page just one and not the full, id like it with a link to say "continue reading".

Is there anyway to make it look like an article entry instead of a blog entry.

And on the main page along with just the little snippet of the news, can i put anything else i want like image links etc.

Yes, it is not such a big deal to edit wordpress. I can do that for you very cheap, just drop me a PM.

Im going to have to try and edit it myself sadly.

 

should be pretty easy because wordpress offers the summary function so just use it to display the summary's on your front page and link them to the full articles (you can also customise the way they are displayed in yout theme)

 

Ok nice one hopefully with some reading ill be able to skin it and modify it easily.

 

Summary is available in wordpress under Settings>Reading.

Sometimes, DIY is better than hiring someone 'cause we will learn somethings new, right?

 

Good point hopefully along the way ill learn how to do it myself so that if theirs a problem i can correct it easy.

No big deal...You do all what you reqiuire in wordpress itself..but with a little knowledge on WP...If you have no budget to support, then i suggest make a little reading on WP, its features, customisation etc..Try it on google and u get a couple of sites that help your quesrries on WP...Once you are enough to go...then you can do it yourself..Its that easy!

many many professional websites use wordpress and their cms!

I think it is best that you go to wordpress.com and sign-up for a free account. Then from there you can browse many themes they have avaiable and have a play around with wordpress. At first it will be slightly confusing but it is a tremendously powerful tool..
