Of course that has nothing to do with this 2-year old topic but it's typical of DP users to respond OT to things from that far ago.
I run both only because all my clients are on the windows side but i like to be the master of my system so i run Linux side by side, as far as a dedicated os Linux ( just not Lindows =P ) but to each thier own..Its all about what your use to and what your comfy with
Windows 7 for some, Linux for others, both systems with strengths and weaknesses. Depends on personal choice.
My mind of u win7 is the home use or office use windows. But the linux is the server base window. In win Linux GUI(Graphical user interface) is very difficult. In Linux mostly use Command than Line user interface is also use. So only trained person use Linux. Every person not be able to use this operating system. Although win7 is the common or very simple GUI. Every person easily use this operating system.
I use a mix of XP, Windows 7, and Linux, depending on the purpose of the computer. I donate a bit of time to several FOSS projects, and I do like Linux, but I don't understand the hate on Windows 7 that so many people have. It's perfectly stable and runs like a dream for me, and Windows is definitely light-years ahead of Linux when it comes to gaming
this is gonna be cloud computing such as chrome OS. i i think that's the worst ever than the current existing os today. as i understood files and software are on the servers in terms of cloud computing and they can never be downloaded to your hard drive. linux is still the best for techies and windows for users who play games on computers
