Is it usual that Google index 50 links the other day and 100 links the other day?

    Hi all,

I just got my site indexed since previous week. My site got currently about 100 blog pages. From the first day just 20 pages were indexed and then after a few days 40. Yesterday in the early morning I saw 98 pages were indexed and now I was checking whether it were perhaps more than 98 (as I assumed it keep growing) it dropped back to 42 indexed pages again. How is this possible and does this happen many times or did I something wrong?

    Thanks

In my own experiences, a page indexing fluctuation on Google would be a normal issue, especially for those relative new sites. I think building deep links to our inner pages and having a well structured navigation system should be helpful for this purpose.

    Have a nice day,

if the site is new, then the number of indexed pages will vary for a while as goggle will take time to update all the data centers with your indexed pages. you wil get results form different data centers at different times for which the number of pages vary

    yeah its quite common.
AS your site is quite new to the niche, Google may take some time to index all its pages.
Once it attains a good serp's google will not fluctuating towards its indexing.

Well, ok.. then I just should be patience since it's a very new site. Another strange thing happend today; suddenly I am not generating visitors anymore from long-tail keywords. Yesterday it was booming and visitors keep coming almost every minute. Now not any! I don't understand this.

Ok, now I've noticed that all the (longtail)keywords where people did a search for lately (untill the day the traffic stopped coming), none of the keywords appears in the google search results anymore. What can be the cause for this? Is it lacking of backlinks as my site does not have relevant backlinks, just 2 or 3 from twitter, that's all. I hope someone can advice me.

It sound ok. 100 links for first day and 1000 links for second day may seems unusual.
