is it too late now to start venturing into affiliate marketing?

    Well, is it? And also, how would a complete newbie to affiliate marketing start? When I first found out about DP, I thought there would be an FAQ or something explaining the basics. Should I get an eBook for that... or perhaps, someone can give me a link to another website talking about the basics?

    You can try by starting with the basics... I don't want to endorse, but rich jerk has a basic guide on affiliate marketing :p but I would try to find a free ebook (there should be some out there).

    Reading blogs also helps!

    Is this a good eBook to help get me started - http://www.youronlinebusinessguide.com/? Aside from the RichJerk eBook, any other recommendation(s)? I forgot to mention that I'm so new to this thing that I don't even have a website of my own yet!

    First, it is way too early to even think it is too late and it will always be way to early.

    Second, to get started you have to know a couple of things up front. It will take dedication and work on your part. Affiliate marketing is very profitable, but you cannot give up just because you have a small set back or something doesn't go your way.

    You will want to be willing to spend a little bit to learn affiliate marketing too. It is like a college class and you have to buy the books and pay for your tuition, except it is a lot cheaper.

    My recommendations would be to join a good forum full of successful internet marketers. I would also reccommend buying the forum owners ebooks and sticking with one set of ebooks for now. Wait until you get a good knowledge and have some success before you start learning other strategies.

    Make sure to do as much research as you can so that you know what you are doing when you start. A lot of beginning affiliates will sign up with ppc search engines like Google/Adwords and start writing up ads on Googles and end up losing a lot of money. You don't have to be in a rush

    And it's never to late to get in to affiliate marketing. There is a lot of money to made.
