I have a few blogs. One of my blogs is getting a little over 5,000 Unique visitors everyday and a little over 550,000 page views daily. Thats a little over 15 millions page views a month. Right now the blog is about 1600 pages long. I have yet to place any ads on this blog. Should I start now? If so what type? And how much could a blog with this traffic make?

You'll certainly be able to make some money from it.

Adsense is an option, and you could also take affiliate programs into consideration.

Depends on your blog, and the kind of traffic it gets though.

Depends on what the blog is about. If it is a product or service niche, I would opt for selling products (affiliate marketing), otherwise, I guess adsense would do.
Yes, I would have monetized it long ago..what have you been waiting for ?

    550,000 / 5,000 = 110 page views per visitor.

550,000 page views per day * 30 days in a month = 16,500,000 page views every 30 days.

You can build on of the biggest websites on the internet, but you do not know how to put ads on it?

Sign up with google adsense and retire. Just from that number of page views would could be bringing in several thousand a month.

To answer your question. No, I do not know how to put ads on the site. It's a blog that I started as a hobby, not to make money.

This blog started out as a thread in a forum like this one. I was adding material every day, and noticed I was getting about 3000 to 4000 people a day viewing the thread. Someone told me I should make my own blog with the topic. He gave me a link to a few vids on youtube on Wordpress. I had no idea what a Blog or Wordpress was, but it was pretty easy to set up. And traffic has been pretty consistent since then. Most of the traffic comes from the old thread. And right now that thread stands at 2,292,701 views.

Right now I'm just trying to figure out what is the best way to Monetize this blog without chasing away visitors. I'm thinking mostly Cpm ads would be best since I have a lot of page views. What do you guys think?

The part where each of your visitors views 110 pages. That is very much improbable in a blog.

That is pretty out of whack. What stats application are you using to get these numbers ?
Even better, how about sharing the blog so that we can actually give you some suggestions ?

Well those are the stats. They are gained from Google Analytics and the Hosting Server. I think the main reason it's doing so well is because it has a great domain name. Really no need to play with the numbers. If I were selling the Blog, or something else I could see being skeptic. But I only asked for advice, that's all. Anyway for those that gave help, I really appreciate it. Thank you.

It's almost impossible to give any accurate advice without knowing the blogs niche, and demographic, or any grasp of what kind of content on it.
We could all just list a bunch of options, but without knowing or seeing the blog they are all just shots in the dark.
Monetization is not as simple as just putting up some code. Every option does not work for all kinds of websites and blogs, and some are just complete wastes of time depending on your niche.

What you are asking is the equivalent of asking what kind of brakes should you put on your car without telling us what kind of car it is, and what your performance needs are.

I will say though, if you are getting every visitor to look at 110 pages on the site before leaving, then you are doing something that no other website or multinational corporation has accomplished on the web...ever !
Not even Amazon has that kind of retention on page views. You are basically saying that every visitor is spending over an hour on your site, yet you are not selling anything...if true, that would be a first on the entire World Wide Web.
I have a couple of blogs that fluctuate between 3k and 5k a day, but not with 110 page views per visitor. That is pretty obscure and it doesn't make any sense because it is obviously not an e commerce site where a visitor would look around for a while, compare prices, and reviews and such.

Which is why we are asking...it is possible that you are not getting accurate readings for many reasons....script interfering with accurate readings, a bot or virus that is using your site as a proxy, any number of reasons.

It just seems strange that you have tapped the secret of everlasting traffic, yet have no clue about something as small as ads and affiliate income.
I'm not saying it's not possible, or doubting what you say, but we can't give you accurate information, or help on a phantom blog.

Which monetization to try and how much money you can make depends on your niche and demographics....I assume you have that information ?
    For example:
A ton of traffic from 12-15 year olds looking for free music downloads won't make you any money...

Why ? Because they don't have any money. You can have a million of them a day coming and the best you can do is CPM (which would't be bad with a million a day), or hope that they will click an add, but that won't lead to any conversions for the advertisers, so they will just avoid your site and you will end up with low paying ads....there are many things to take into consideration.
It is important to know these things before giving any real advice about monetization.

Thanks for the info hmansfield. I see your point very clear. Don't know why the traffic comes like it does. But it's been like that every since I started it. Here a pic of the traffic from the very beginning.

Weird Log in to see the image, sorry I had to by pass that, but it looks like it might be an adult site ? If so, I can see the traffic, people will look at porn for hours, but, unfortunately I haven't had anything adult for a while so I have no idea what programs are still paying good. AFF, which it looks like you have already was the top program at the time.

Maybe some one else has more experience with adult, either that or go to an Adult webmasters forum and look around (there is a very big well known one that is similar to the phrase "Go Screw Yourself"..don't know the rules on posting other forum links so I'll refrain), they are full of programs and program owners that can probably steer you in the right direction more than I can.

Adult is waayy different than mainstream, but if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

You can't use adsense on adult sites. There is an alternative, I just can't remember the name.

Image posted by you is having details from hosting account. This pageviews and visitors includes every hit including your admin and other pages. It also includes the images or any other media taken by some other site from yours. If you can put the Google Analytics stats then that will be better. Anyways, If you are having Adult sites then you can try options other than Adsense. Buddy, I think you have already started monetizing it. It's just my guess.
