    Alright thanks for the heads up its probably true the up and down sales isn't caused
    by zango. I think the bets theory is the credit card theory as it is the closest one to
    explain the absolutely 0 sales days so anyone willing to try the the email if you already have
    an email campaign?

    A word of caution regarding paydot.com. An esteemed member was commenting of their rotten commission payment system by the publisher directly. He also indicated that he lost thousands of dollars.Unlike in CB ,paydot does not pay the affiliates and it is the publisher who pays.

    I can cross out phantom from my list of things to try. Thanks Eroker!

    I also tried making a new clickbank account, and I didn't get any different results at all.

    I'm still trying to figure things out.

    I read a few threads over at clickbanksuccessforum.com/forum/

    These are 2 recent posts that have had problems with CB:

    Point 2 states that hoplinks are going to 404 pages - that hasn't been described on here yet, but could be another reason and it would point at possibly CB or the vendor?

    who to contact?

    I am not sure, but if all the people can provide full details (both affiliates and vendors), then the scale of the problem will warrant further investigation if everyone is providing details and acting collectively instead of sending of meaningless queries about lower than expect sales level. These meaningless queries will result in a standard "sales fluctuations" response and will not get concerns addressed.

    Hey guys,

    I'm actually the creator of Phantom Link Cloaker and it does do exactly what it says. Basically what it does is it removes the http headers and other methods of hiding the affiliate program from parasite software so that they have no idea what product the visitor is looking at.

    The reason that I created this software is that there is one other software that claims to do what I have done and it does not. But no worries, it's not for everyone.

    Has anyone spoke to CB about the problems and got a good answer from them?

    The problem with clickbank's system is it is so easily hijacked.

    It's incredibly simple to hijack your affiliate link. I have had it happen to me. Since CB uses cookies, its a "last in" arrangement. the last AFFID to be set as the cookie gets the sale.

    I'll tell you exactly how to do this so CB will fricken fix this piece of crap.

    Let's say you are selling a product for $97. The commission say is $30. Well, who wants to give away 1/3rd of their profit? Ok so you "promote" your product on clickbank. You tell all the sucker affiliates that you're giving $30 commission. They grab the hoplink and start promoting it.

    On the sales page there's an image, a 1x1:

    <div style="display:none">
    <img src="http://another.hop.link.clickbank.net" width="1" height="1"/>
    </div>

    Now what happens, your browser is going to blindly make a request for this "image" and Clickblank, because this is a hoplink, will reset the cookie for the affiliate. So the person that brought them to this landing page just lost a referral. Since the div is invisible, the user sees nothing (even if no div, the 1x1 image would not be noticed.

    People selling products on clickbank rob affiliates of their revenue (thus the publisher retains more of his profits), and yet their ratings still go up.

    it's even sneakier if they use cloaked urls (mod_rewrite) to hide the fact that they are resetting the cookie.

    Here's proof

    Check your cookies now. Look for the clickbank.net cookie

    copy the value for it and paste it into notepad so you can compare it later.

    create an html file on your server called cookietest.html

    paste the code i gave you earlier.

    visit that page.

    check your cookies, compare the value you put into notepad with the new value.

    you just hijacked your own clickbank cookie :)

    This problem is pervasive. Not an easy problem to solve.

    I have been making money for the past month. In the last 5 days my sales have dropped completely to 0. I'm getting out NOW before I Lose anymore on clickbank. I think it is so sad that people need to hijack in order to make money, you'd think if they were smart enough they could figure out how to make their own money instead of steal other people's money. I'm done and going back to Network Marketing, at least I am in control of what happens.

    I sell my product in two ways, clickbank and straight through paypal. I have been more successulf marketing it myself and getting 100% of the profit minus paypal fees than clickbank. the other downside is that new products never get marketed because they have zero gravity (another serious flaw with clickbank)

    I think I'm going to build a tool that will check whether publishers are doing this to their sales pages. It will probably take me less than a day to build, but would benefit everyone. If anyone is interested PM me.

    it's going to be very hard to catch someone doing this.

    The example I gave, you'd have to be stupid to use it as is. It is done through redirect pages. i dunno, maybe I'm hallucinating.

    Point 2 would make sense my overall sales are down by more than 50% and my link tracking indicates that CB's system is only logging about half of what my logging system indicates. Interesting .... and i think the CC problem would explan the rest!
