    Hi,
I just discovered one of my articles which was published in Articlebase, was duplicated on one other site as well. They wrote my name and site link, but they never contacted me about it. Is it the right situation?

....yes, right situation. When you submit an article to directories, it is implied that 'publishers' will use it if the content has enough substance in it. It is a good sign, indeed.

It's not a problem. This is one of the main purposes that some article sites exists.

Some of them are designed to offer site publishers free content to use on their sites, as long as they leave the author's name and link untouched.

This is beneficial to you in that it should send some traffic your way and gives your name some exposure.

These also are extra backlinks leading to your site.

The only time you should be upset about it is if the user removes your name and link.

I’m good surprised that almost all my articles have been re-published on many blogs. I’ve saw one of my pieces on 26 sites and blogs. It’s strangely because I wrote no many articles in English.

When you submit articles to directory sites like articlesbase and ezinearticles, you'll find that it's part of the terms of submission that you automatically give the right to reprint the article to anyone who comes along and is willing to abide by the terms of use for publishers.

The idea behind submission to article directories is that you get a backlink for your efforts and other publishers get good articles for free. Of course, they have to give credit to you and include your link.

If your articles are being published as per the above terms, it is very good. It means that your link is getting additional exposure and additional backlinks. Also, if your article is published often, Ezinearticles has a category that says "Most Published Articles" - you can get in there. If you get in there, your article will have huge number of internal backlinks from Ezinearticles itself because every article in the same category displays the most published articles link.

This is great for SEO and it will increase your traffic. So if the link is included don't worry. It is good.

because the search engines like lots of content on a site. Or should I say, nowadays they like lots of unique content on your sites.

Simply, I've not still figured out for myself what is better- quantity or quality.
Say, 1 unique article or 10 re-published ones.
I hate to republished articles at my sites. But on other hand, if so many people do it....

When it comes to a professional website, the articles should be designed to help establish your credibility in the field first, sell your products/services second and then keep Google happy. Non-unique articles on such a site makes me wonder if the "expert" really knows their specialty in the first place. Having no articles would be better, IMHO, than having re-published ones. The exception being press-releases and original manufacturer's information.

In your situation, I would work on articles about the items you sell and the companies that made them. Lots of folks are selling vintage Christmas ornaments so rather than just write filler content, do some research and write stuff that will show you really know what you are talking about. So many in your situation are simply lifting content from Wikipedia or writing garbage like, "Christmas ornaments have been used by many families to decorate their Christmas trees. The ornaments were hand made or store bought. Families collected a wide...blah, blah, blah...lots of words to place keywords in between that impart no information..."

A final thought, as my mother used to say, "If everyone else is jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge are you going to follow them or do something else?"
