Hey there, I am new to affiliate stuff. Bought google cash and was thinking about running an ad campaign for products and link directly to ebay. Hopefully get paid by winning bids and new sign ups. But now I see that after august 1, they have a new commision structure that is very unclear. Looks like they just took the money out of their affiliate program. Is it still worth it to try to promote ebay as an affiliate?
sorry to pour cold water on your plan but you cannot link directly to ebay via adwords. it is against their TOS. You have to have your own landing page/website. But yes, one can make money with epn, takes a while but can be done. before you spend any more money on ebooks re ebay, make sure you are able to sign up with epn and are accepted. good luck
In my opinion, unless you have a website that has 10.000+ unique visits a day, EPN is not going to do any good to you. I would suggest to make a good website with EPN pages on it and try to drive traffic to them via AdWords. But... you will be paying thru the roof because lots and lots of people are already doing it. Creating blogs and trying to get on the free search in Google or Yahoo! may take months and years. But even then, who can gurantee that anyone will buy something thru you if they happen to stumble upon your site? AdWords or Yahoo! advertising is the way to go if your financial state allows you to do so. Just my two cents.
I have been in field for over a decade and never came across Enthusiast Publisher Network. epn is too small an abbreviation to be explored on search engines. In my opinion such abbreviations should be avoided. However, thank you for introducing epn.
I will keep it short and simple: YES. from my experience eBay aff program converts well. and direct linking is not the only way to promote eBAy.
For me EPN converts far better than anything else. But, in order to make money with it, you have to do all of the things required to develop a website, or better still, a collection of niche sites. That includes addition of compelling, unique content to each site aside from the EPN agenda, and tons of seo. In other words, you have to build real sites and promote them. You have to know what you're doing. The rewards are there, but you have to be willing to learn, and then learn some more, to work very hard and invest in the right tools.
I truly believe that ebay EPN has the best converting program ever. I have tried quite a few methods of making money online and this is the best. I first heard of the BANS software, but could not afford the $97 price tag. So after a lot of pain staking research, I found out a way to create these sites using the FREE Joomla software that installs automatically through your Cpanel. Create niches sites on the fly. No more than 1 to 2 hrs required per site. Check out: joomniche.com
Good to see people creating free stuff for themselves There's also McJiffy and TWP Auctions* (both are free). * Disclaimer : developed by me
Ebay's EPN can pay you nice commissions, but you do need to develop real content websites with EPN incorporated, in my opinion. You can use epn's free affiliate tools effectively. I do on several pages where a full store doesn't make sense. It is hard to tell what the changes in new sign-up fees will mean revenue-wise, but if we provide real new sign-ups we should be well compensated. Start experimenting and adapt your business model as you learn what actually works...
I agree with Aldouspi. I own some BANS site, but I don't just set and forget 'em. I create unique contents to pre sell the aff link, and the efforts are well worth it.
It's definitely worth joining as an ebay affiliate, you can also go through pepperjam if you'd prefer. If you're running wordpress pick up phpBay Pro as well cos it's awesome.
The Pepperjam thing is a gimmick to get PJ customers to sign up on EPN. There is no benefit if you are not a PJ person.
Bare in mind that Pepperjam is offering eBay US affiliate program only.. that's why you should join EPN rather than Pepperjam ...
the epn tools are pretty good, you would obviously want a way to automate listings but its possible to post all the product you want to sell manually
Automation aside, I also recommend that you put in more unique contents to the sites to attract more search engine love.
