I know a lot of people just take the new channel code and replace it with the old code. Is it still ok to do this? I noticed its called google ad slot and not google ad channel. What do you guys think?

You can try replacing yourself and then see the results. :)

I guess it not possible to change only the channel id in new ad formats.
BTW, why don't you just generate a whole new code instead of changing only the channel ID?
