For me, this is a separate issue from whether people think homosexuals should be afforded all the rights we heteros enjoy. It's simply a statement of sexual preference. Personally, watching two men go at it does nothing for me. I wouldn't go as far as to say 'Gay make me sick' as w3bmaster so succinctly put it, but I wouldn't stick around and get a tub of popcorn. It's just not my cup of tea. Two attractive women, though, is a different story. I'm attracted to women. They look nice. They smell nice (or, at least, better than the average man). In short, a day in which I see two attractive women make love is, on the whole, a much better day than the one in which I see two attractive men do the same. All that means is that I like women. I don't think it makes me a bad person that I don't mind watching women roll in the hay but I'd avert my eyes from men. It just makes me a heterosexual man. I'm not saying, of course, that that's the idea w3bmaster and digigraph were trying to convey. I'd have no problem believing that they'd burn all the gay men at the stake and throw a big party for the lesbians. People are weird like that.
I don't think it makes you a bad person. I'm not a man, so perhaps that's why I fail to understand the fascination with lesbians. However, to say that gay men are disgusting and gay women are "hot," as previous posts have indicated from various people, is ludicrous. If they had put their lesbian-loving ways into terms as mature and thought out as you, that would have been a different story. But as you said, people are weird like that.
Unfortunately, behind the big words will always be the thought: 'gay men= ewwwww; lesbians=sexy'. It's just the way we work, it seems.
I guess I shouldn't complain about something I can't change. But let me tell you, as other people have mentioned not all lesbians would fit your idea of sexy, I can guarantee you that.
