I'm pretty much scared of doing online shopping as many times I got cheated so I believe doing online shopping is a fraud. Will u Plz suggest me some sites from where I can do online shopping securely and safely.

You have bad luck. In most cases online shopping is secure. Amazon and Ebay are places where you can see some frauds but they try to protect customers.

Strange, I've been buying on the web a lot and till this day have never had a bad experience. As SimplyDigitalHosting mentioed above do a google search on the site or product you want to purchase and read reviews of the product and then make up your mind if you want to buy or not.

Go for those popular sites which higher trust .
When you purchase you can notice something around the website which is trust able or not.
    SSL Seal
    TrustE Seal
    Sitelock Seal
    Feature Clients
    More Payment Gateway

With those Sea and payment gateway available usually prove that the site is trustable because of they spend lot of money on take care their business and their customers as well.

I haven't bought from any online stores in India but buy routinely from NZ, American and Australian stores and have no problems. There are some great UK sites too.

I'd suggest that if you are looking for absolute bargains then you'll risk getting ripped off. I've just ordered some cheer leading shoes from a site I've never been to before. The shoes, if you can get them, are $170 locally, we'll be getting them for about $140. Only one of the American sites had them available and I've since had a personal email from the administrator explaining that there may be a delay in delivery and giving me the option to cancel. That's a pretty typical experience.

I'd be interested to know how you have selected which sites to buy from in the past so that we can learn what indicators to avoid.

It all about your luck ! I had shop online many times, from Ebay and amazon, No doubt there are many frauds online.
Also check price comparison checking tools and sites, Fortunately, they 'll refer to good store for online shopping.
I used Paylessdeal and shopbot. and they made my online shopping experience best.
