I would advice you to report it to the Paypal so you can be sure it's a scam or not. Definitely that's the best way to check if you are not sure.
The email said his account is limited and when he checked his account, it is really limited. Why do you all still think it is a scam ? Is it just because it comes directly from Paypal, it must be a scam ?
I can almost guarantee that it is a scam, I have received similar emails asking for my paypal account info. with subjects like Ebay Verification Request (CD902382382039) bla bla " or Your Order Verification (CD902382382039) bla bla " the scammers are getting better and better, send it to paypal and they will email you back saying it is a scam...let us know

Yeah but what has this to do with the OP post ? The link you provided has this return email as Reply-To : . It is Payjal.com and not Paypal.com and it requires you to click on a URL. The OP mail however comes from Paypal and it does not require you to click on any link but fax or mail directly to Paypal official address or fax number. Are you saying that the scammers are so good that they are now working within Paypal's offices or routing all Paypal mails to themselves ? Besides, the 'KMM..' routing code in the email header is the same format as the ones I get directly from Paypal. If you say you log into your account and it is not limited but the email claims it is then it may be a scam but in this case, he got an official email from Paypal to say his account is limited and when he log in, it is actually limited. So that has to be a scam because the email is true to its word and claims ? And the email you quoted, it appeared you did not read it carefully, the email was sent to that person to say that the previous reported email was a scam. Not that the email saying the other is a scam is the scam email.
there is also mention of it on Paypalwarning.com Do what you want, but before you send anything I would email a known paypal.com address or give them a call...better safe than sorry cheers
scroll down to where its cached...just the first post is Pajal.com...theres another that is Harbor1...this is why i cached it
Check your account and if there is a verification request then there will be a notification within your account and it must match the code from above. If there is nothing, report them with detailed mail header etc.
Definite scam. You should forward it to PayPal ASAP. _________________________________ Credit Card Safety
This is for sure a scam because Paypal never asks you for your ID via email that way, its always a phonecall to your listed number. It is another email where you are asked to give your password later contents of your account is emptied out.
Scammers are geting smarter for sure.... Got a payment notification for a larger than usual amount recently... fortunately paused to think and check the link... Sure enough led to a different site...
If your name is similar to the names in the following list, then there are chances that this email is valid. http://www.treas.gov/offices/enforcement/ofac/sdn/sdnlist.txt Do check with paypal, before sending any information though.
I get about 3 o thoose a week in my spam tryin to get me to log on to get my payment, gmail is good and usually puts them all in my spam box
why is everyone shouting scam first before going through the details of the email? 1. there're no links in the email 2. email comes from an existent address within PP's security department. 3. the address OP was asked to fax to happens to be the same address all limited account holders are pointed to. and the biggest clue: 4. tulip says his account has been limited, just as the email 'predicted'. i'm not saying these guarantee a genuine email (with exception of no. 4), but it doesn't mean it's outright fake. so why are we getting responses like: what links? when they need you to verify your account, they do. see above reply.
No its not a scam ! Check ur account it might be blocked ? If its blocked then it cannot be a scammers mail.Because the same mail I received yesterday and now I am on the way to send the document details to that fax.I am sure its from paypal since my account is blocked. Plz don't include ur password or other login details to them.So its secure to login. You can also get the help from paypal help line !
It's not a scam, I got a email from paypal a month ago said my account got limited. just fax them what they wanted then your account will get restored.
