Is it safe to Turn my PPC Ads back on?

Following all the troubles Clickbank have been experiencing this month, I have now seen a really good few days.

Is it safe to turn the Adwords campaigns back on?

I do like the fact that the $500 I have made in the last three days is 100% profit, but the ads were making good profits in August. Spent about $45 and made $362!

    Anyone else got this dilema?

    Jim

Personally I don't think it is done. I still "feel" it's still screwing up. Emphasis on "feel" because I don't have any proof of it. I just feel like there are periods of time that are blocked off for sales.

Edit: I wouldn't touch ppc until the clickbank index at cb-analytics starts moving in an upward direction.

Are you sure that the cb-analytics is the right measure of what cb is doing?

I mean, the gravity relates to the number of affiliates promoting, it could be that some are just not actively promoting at the moment i.e. not paying for adverts like me. Sort of a vicious circle!

Or have I got that wrong?

I understand gravity isn't a universal meter of sales, but it consistently goes up with time. It's crashing. It's dropped to below June levels. That's significant.

I think it is highly unlikely that sales are increasing and just going to less affiliates. CB is a growing company. I just don't see it.

I don't take gravity very seriously, one time I listened to an interview with Frank Kern where he said he released niche focused products making him $100K per year each and that he didn't use affiliates because he don't trust them, so maybe many of those Low -5 gravity products are $100K niches. Who knows! ;)

I'm not a fan of gravity either. I've heard that a lot of bigger players don't even use clickbank anymore because they don't like affiliates. They've had affiliates spam around their product and the publisher's site gets shut down for it.

But I am a friend of trend. Overall gravity has increased for a long old time, than crashes in the matter of weeks. Paints a picture.

Supper, what do you mean by: "They've had affiliates spam around their product and the publisher's site gets shut down for it."

How would they sell their products without the help of an affiliate group?

I would say don't turn on your PPC ads, many of us are seeing a drastic decrease in sales, something in not right definitely, wait a bit more until sales start to normalize.

See what happens when someone spams stuff, they can only go after the benefiting party. So if I spammed up my affiliate link to emails, than it would be reported to the hosting company of the publisher and the hosting account would be suspended.

It sort of works the same way with adsense. I can go to someones site and click the banners 1000 times and they're the ones that lose their account.

I believe they set up their private affiliate scripts (if they do that) and choose who gets to be affiliate. A lot of them do joint ventures and stuff like that.

I'm waiting for that red line on the cb-analytics graph to move up again before i'm resuming all my ppc campaigns...
