i'm about to create an adult video download blog and i was wondering if it's a good idea to submit the site to search engines and get it indexed ... i spoke to host provider and he is ok with download linking but i don't know what are the other risks if my site gets well indexed..i googled the keywords i'm willing to use and all sites that appears are paid membership sites and no free download ones so i assume that the competition won't be harsh although i'm worried if i should submit it or not
It is much better and certainly months faster if you do it organically. That is all there really is to say about it. I no longer think much about it because the practice of submitting your site via submission forms on Google etc. has been dead for ehh. about 8 years. If you know what you are doing you can get your site crawled in an hour to 24 hours tops. hope that helps, Nigel
@Nigel Lew i'm willing to use a wordpress blog and those are already ready for search engine optimization, i'm not asking about what ways will i use to get the site indexed, what i'm worried about is if it is safe or not because of copyrighted materials, my hosting provider said linking is ok but i'm conserned if there are other risks beside that
There is nothing wrong with submitting your website to the search engines. It might not do much in terms of quick URL inclusion into their index but it definitely won't hurt your SEO or penalize you. Don't worry about it, submit away.
It depends on a range of things like where its hosted etc. You have to be clever about that stuff and host it in the Ukraine Nigel
