Hi, The bank account has some problem so Is it safe to keep $4000-$5000 in a PayPal account for 2-3 weeks? The PayPal in question is more than 1 year old. Regards WM
There is no risk as long as you do fair and honest business. Only crackheads who deal with shady stuff will get their accounts frozen and limited. As long as you can verify your account you are more than safe. However, since you're not collecting interest on the money while they are in the Paypal system, I would not recommend to keep them in there forever. A couple of weeks is fine, definitely, but after that time frame you should definitely withdraw them and then upload them again should they be needed.
Are you nutz! I wouldn't keep more then a few hundred cause they can lock up your acct for any reason and keep your money tied up for months!
If your transaction values have been high and you have never been questioned in the past of them... I guess it would be safe to keep such an amount in Paypal. For 20-25 days should anyway not be a problem unless you decide to do a foolish transaction or two... in this period! Regards, RightMan
Its safe to keep that much money in paypal but there is no need to take a risk IMO and moreover that paypal never pay us any interest on that so better we withdraw it and earn interest from our local bank. DON.
No, do not listen to people who say as long as you do everything right you will be fine. Paypal will limit your account and hold your money for 6 months for no reason at all, and just so happens during the 6 months somehow it will disappear or UNHEARD of claims will come against the money some way. Not going to say it will happen, but could. I have had this happen with $2,500 in paypal (had it there for over 2 months cause I didn't need it, collecting on the money market). Hadn't even logged in, in over 3 weeks and they send me an email that my account access was limited. Sure enough I logged in, and couldn't do ANYTHING with the money. They stated 6 months before I could access it. Which didn't bother me to much since I wasn't using it anyways, but the rep said it wouldn't earn the interest, and 2 months before releasing it i got all these unheard of claims against the money (just so happens just before the 6 months your allowed to do a chargeback) However, this was several years ago, and never got the money. So the account was released with a few hundred, and now never keep over 500 in it.
Well why not just open an account with another bank and keep the money there till your bank sorts out the problem.
If you can't withdraw just transfer that amount from pp to another payment processor. i don't even keep $100 in paypal .
It is safe to keep it in paypal if you are careful with your account credentials, but if it is in your bank account it will earn interest for that period no doubt hahaha!!!
