Is it safe to include a chatroom in a web site

I have personal chatroom for every user in my web site. The problem is that I can't monitor chatrooms' messages same as forum or blog messages

Do you think I shoud just remove it ?

I think all chatrooms should be monitored really. It is much harder to monitor a chatroom rather than a forums or blog.

 

On my opinion, I would monitor it. But it also denpend on what type of Chat Room is?

 

Chatrooms in my web site are mainly for professional networking : recruitment and business networking.

If its a personal chatroom, then there is no question of monitoring that. People can have personal talk over there. And I that is made for that purpose. Would you like to know - what he or she going to wear or eat today.

yeah i pay people 24x7 to monitor my chat network. when you have teens going in there and stuff its really wise to have some watching live and to keep a back up of convo history for legal reasons.

 

security wise- java applets are secure... and chat junkies love to moderate

 

that's exactly what I meant . Yahoo closed their chatroom for this reason.
