I want to make few changes and my friend (net friend since last 1 month) asked to give the user name and password so that he can make that changes. Is it safe to give password? or is there any other idea for this job

Your friend can use another account with admin permissions.

If your friend has finished working on it, change the password ;-)

The safest way is do a back up first.
Reset your password with a different one before you gave it to your net friend.
If something went wrong, you can restore it easily.
