    Giving blood is safe enough, plus you get a free cookie and glass of milk which is always a bonus

    I have considered platelet donations too

    They take the blood from one arm and send it through a machine which filters out the platelets and feed the filtered blood back in the other arm. It takes longer than a normal donation but it is the only real way of collecting them as they don't appear in the blood in a high enough proportion to get them from the usual pint donated

    Its safe to donate blood but the condition is you can donate within a time span of three months. And donating blood means that you are about to save one life that is in need of your help.Even I donate blood 2-3 times a year. That gives me feeling to proud that I am saving life and also it is a divine work.

    It is very safe to donate blood as there is no chance of getting infected as the needles are replaced once used.

    I'm honorable blood-donor in my country. I donated blood more than 40 times and have no any problems with my health. Quite the reverse my arterial pressure became ideal.
