They will only take a safe amount of your blood so no need to worry.

BTW, you cannot contract any infectious disease, including AIDS, by donating blood.

Make sure the needle is not used more than once. If more than once, discarded .

If you are healthy, you must donate blood... and its safe.
It hardly takes 5-6 minute and there is no pain. Takes some fruit juice after donating blood.

Donating blood is safe as long as you're not sick. Donating blood has healthy benefits to the donor like removes some of the excess iron which can cause free radical formation in the body.

Donating blood is a good deed, and it has benefits to our body and I know it is safe, just make sure that the needles that they are going to use are clean or sterilized.

you need to check blood pressure of yours, and do you have enough blood or not? Sometimes when you donate the blood, your own blood falls more then acceptable level. & can hurt your body..

By donating blood, you help save human lives. Blood donation, when properly done, is not only safe but you help the humanity as a whole and won't affect your health when done at regular intervals. Keep it up and go ahead :)

The only unsafe side to your part is mostly if you don't have enough iron. You may faint.

I guess it varies between countries, but as long as you do it through the official manner I'm sure it would be safe - when you donate blood it is in the hospital's (or whoever you are donating it to) best interests to ensure it's safe, otherwise the blood would be useless.

I donated for the first time a few months ago (in the UK) and everything was completely clean, hygienic and fully safe.

If you're considering donating, I'd really urge you to do it - it really does make a difference!

I think everyone should donate blood as it saves one's life. But keep in mind that , the syringes are sterile and you are not suffered from any diseases.
