Is It Safe To Delete cgi-bin Directory?

    Can I delete my cgi-bin directory without any worries?
    Why does it need to be in my web directory?

    you can delete it, but when you refresh it will be there again. It holds jsut basic information and if you run a lot of perl or python scripts / modules, that directory will house it.

    so why does it pop up again after i delete it?
    It's not a huge deal, but i feel like it's cluttering up my tidy webserver

    Rather than delete it, read up on it. You might be surprized how tidy your webserver could be if you were utilizing that directory.
