Is it right when celebrities sell their newborn baby's photos?

I don't like the way it feeds the whole talboid/celebrity worship culture, but I'll be honest, if I had a kid and some one offered me millions for there pictures, I'd damn well take it.

 

I would gladly sell pictures of my newborn if it would earn me a decenet amount of cash

yeah..they sure get millions from selling their baby's pics..they should invest it on their baby's future.

 

hehehe if only we're celebrities too or at least...if only anybody's interested to pay, right?

just yesterday i saw some news reports featuring halle berry's new child. halle was seen with her newborn...i guess she has no plans of selling her newborn's baby photos

Yes its okay for them to sell the photos.

 

Physically, there won't be any problem. The baby won't suffer, of course. I guess the point of discussion here would be if it is morally right for a parent to make money off her child.

I think there is no moral question here. Nothing really bad or good about selling photos of your newborn if you're celebrity. Especially because in recent case it went to charity. So I guess it is morally right

 

I guess it's OK if they donate the proceeds to charity. At least they are using their power to help the less fortunate ones.

 

I think that a celebrity selling pictures of their kids is disgusting. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, and love to show their pictures to anyone with eyes, but to sell the shots for money, and then, since these are famous people with lots of wealth, to put their kids into the view of people out to do harm is just disgusting.

 

It's not like 10 years after the pictures are sold the "baby" will still be recognizable to the public lol, and the story is usually forgotten after a couple weeks anyway.

Besides pictures will leak out regardless.

 

Do you guys think those celeb kids will take it against their parents someday? Like the time will come when they'll get angry at their parents for "making money off them" sort of thing? What do you guys think?

I purchased a celeb baby once.

 

after all, its their baby. and there is no harm inflicted to the child i guess... so nothing wrong. i just hope the kid gets a share of that money

just ask the baby. if she allow her parents selling her pictures, that's ok. who knows that she don't want to be a celebrity
