    What's so silly about it.

I mean if a person looking for sites as I mentioned, how would he go about doing it?

    The ones which I name,

    Business.com

    Ali Baba

    Manufacturers.com.tw

    Lets do a comparision

Dmoz is older then all of these. On every page which uses that rdf data, there are links back to dmoz saying something like 'Become an editor, help build the world's largest directory'.

Do a link count of how many links pointing towards dmoz, you will find they are much higher then all of the ones which I mentioned.

    Yet still

Business.com is 10 TIMES busier then dmoz.

Does that not prove it's worthiness?

Why is it that this pale copy is visited so much more then your dmoz?

I don't know what the traffic stats of Ali Baba are, but I have a pretty good hunch it is busier then dmoz too.

Well these pale copies including my little linkspub is actually visited by people which are looking for sites.

I see my search stats growing on a daily basis and can stand confident that my site is growing.

Dmoz is flooded by visitors trying to get their site in.

It's not fully human edited, The Topix and CNN entries have all been automated, and there are THOUSANDS of those and growing.

Then there is Robozilla who certainly is not flesh and blood... Robozilla also seems to have a knack for missing out on quite a few dead links, and has no notion of the pages that got sold and converted to MFA sites.

So maybe you should take your own advice and head back into DMOZ for some quality time hunting down sites no longer worthy of inclusion. As from the looks of it you spend enough time here half-hearted defending the project and more time over on his directory, then working on the ODP.

If you'd spend half the time fixing the mess you are a part of that you do defending it, maybe you'd not need to defend it.

Well keep up that boast adnan about quality, looked at each day and ignore that you have a few links and cocked up on the fist one I looked at. Still abebooks is a good site, but not with that description. Better luck next time.

Better luck next time what? I'm not keen or trying to list my site in ur dmoz. Haven't you noticed that?

And actually why not boast about quality. We've got a great search feature which surpasses dmoz's search feature.

We've got awesome polls not found anywere else on the internet.

We've got a killer back end software, fast, scalable capable of handling 10000s of requests per second without choking.

Btw, that abe books site which you have mentioned a zillion times is listed and always has been listed in its correct category.

Your talking bout a duplicate in the spiritual so I'll change it when I get around to it.

When you get round to it, with the claims you make on your main page!!!!????

What's the point of being able to have thousands of searches per second, that would mean that someone could search every site you have listed in a millie second. Twice over.:D

Better luck next time was to get your directory right, not get into DMOZ. Just to puit you right.

Well the directory and the site is right. You might not think so but that's just you, u know what I'm saying. Your just expressing your frustrations cause you can't do a thing, while I go on revealing stuff about dmoz.

But again alot of it is not new to many people. :D

Ever occur to you that there may be more then 1 person searching our directory at a time? :D

Would you list DMOZ in DMOZ? I know with the high standards it has I certainly would not....but maybe it would be listable if you'd just log out of DP and into the ODP and get to fixing it.

You know I kinda figured out why u call yourself anonymously.

Ur just dead scared, that u'll get kicked out like that shoemoney editor and u won't even know what hit you.

I guess that comes in one of those rewards of being an editor for dmoz.

No, just read things that are said here, like find the editor name, then look up the editor's telephone number and ring them. That's not just to compliment them, but often to abuse them. No I don't intend to tell you anything that puts me in that vulnerable position with psychotics like your self constantly on the hunt to down editors by slur, innuendo or twisting any morsel that comes your way. I have already been accused, without even a tiny shred of evidence, and there is none anyway, of defending paedophiles. Which is why one of your fellow vitriolic contributors on here was rightly called a "liar" by me.

Sad that one or two regulars are so bitter and twisted that they try and attack and slur DMOZ editors who are willing to come here and basically help people. I did not come to slag anyone off, but some of you insist on trying to do that to editors who give of their bast and in their own time. You have your own agenda, well perhaps you might accomplish it with the acidic drip feeds of posts, but boy, living with that bitterness taints everything you touch.

What a martyr, everybody hates you because you want to help people by editing in DMOZ.

Do you really believe this BS that you try to feed to others? Nobody defends corruption out of goodness of their heart. People defend corruption and abuse because they benefit one way or another by it.

That is the second time you have said that... which is odd, because this is the second time I must say this.

YOU SAID THAT TO A LIAR!

Though maybe you can take it from me, I've not lied yet.

Nobody defends corruption out of goodness of their heart. People defend corruption and abuse because they benefit one way or another by it.

If you are as clean as you claim, then state your name. If you do not, or can not, then tell me again who is the liar and who is the one that stands behind those that contribute to child porn and the promotion of spam.

Sorry, but if the shoe fits...

LOL, so people are known to do this? Doesn't that make u feel kinda dirty? Like ugggggghhhhhhhhh, what on earth am I doing? I might as well become a volunteer fireman, much more respectable.

Plus, can't u call the authorities if u get a harassing phone call from somebody?

Actually this is the second time you've made personal attacks on somebody else in public. :D

What if I told u I was a girl? LOL Only pulling ur leg.

I don't know, I'm just having a good time while revealing what I've learned about dmoz.

Why would I be bitter, I got so much going for me. A wife and 2 kids, a growing business, a promising future, plus my Linkspub with the Abebooks listing. :D

Are you suuuuuuuuuure about this dear watson? Don't they have their own forum for that? Or is it to help themselves, (to the riches). Around a year ago some other editor tried to help me as well. I told him, no riches from me friend.:D

As you know I did not address that remark to you,
    "
If you are as clean as you claim, then state your name."

Read my other comments about people on here actively encouraging finding out who editors are and ringing them at home often to abuse them and you want to know who i am, sorry get lost.

How does your editor name says anything about who you are and where you live? Do you mean that you have left your personal information in your editor page for those who want to show their appreciation for your effort to "list" their sites?

My name is right there, Adnan it's my real name.

Do a whois check on my sites linkspub or directoryjunction . All my info is there.

Where did u get the idea that I wanna find out what ur name is or anything about U?

I don't care what ur name is or any other stuff about u.

Plus, your not even part of any discussion here, were discussing dmoz, or atleast I'm discussing dmoz.

    I don't discuss individuals.

That's odd I'm using my full name everywhere, my contact details all over my websites and nobody has bothered to call me - ever! It might have something to do with international calls prices...
