Is it really this easy to make money with Adsense?

    Hi

I have zero knowledge of AdSense but like many here I am trying to learn as quickly as possible. So please excuse the question if it appears a little dim.

Does this site really comply with AdSense TOS? - 8bestsites dot com

It is buying cheep Adwords and just displays AdSense (sometime with bizrate affiliate links) with no content of it's own. By the looks of things a lot of cheep Adwords check - alexa.com/site/ds/movers_shakers?lang=en currently No.3.

If it is really that easy to make money online I wonder WTF I am doing trying to make a decent site.

    thanks
    stuart

ps apologies for spelling mistake in the title

Because you love building web sites like everyone else here, and if you make some $ from them as well then that's great. ;)

Whether or not the site violates TOS (Isn't violate such a wonderful word?) I'll leave to the more experienced adsensers. :)

Placing adsense on no content website is surely violating their TOS. Does it really possible to earn profit from the discrepancy between cheap adwords keywords and high paying keywords?

**There are taxes on adsense. And also, your CTR is not 1:1 ratio. Which means that you might get 10 or probably 50 visits but not even 1 adsense click !!!

These sites definitely violate the TOS. Eventually these sites are banned from Adsense and have loss the money they earned.

If you are in it for the long haul, then just keep making decent sites and your online income will grow over time.

    Adsense is tough.
If I don't update my sites every day, the traffic goes down.
    It require constant work.

But he is right about the 8bestsites, there is also 4bestsites and 3 and so on.
And they don't seem to go down.
I see so many TOS violations. Just look for your competitors sites.
You will see all their dirty tricks :)

I agree. This is clear voilations of google TOS but then for every search I do I see some similar sites in the results which are not banned.

these kind of sites will get banned ones they make the 100$ mark. At that time, google seems to check if the site violates anything. So, in then, they wont get paid.

You need to work a lot and have decent traffic to make money with Adsense. Also your site have to be of a good topic for Adsense: with the same traffic you can do 5$ a day or 100$ a day.

I only see a header that says "8 Best Sites", a google ad and a google search box. I wouldn't call that content. :)

How does buying adwords put a site on the fast mover part of Alexa? Isn't that done with a simple Alexa toolbar manipulation?

Oh, who wants to bet a dollar that the one post wonder owns that 8bestsites site?

I've seen the site mention in this thread before and it's been around for a while.

There's a lot of sites out there that violate the terms of service as stated by Google Adsense...the problem is (I believe), google staff don't really have the time to check every user in the adsense program.

I'm curious to see how long the mentioned site survives...it definitely provides no useful content for visitors.
