Is it really important??

    blog commenting is one way of link building.. but iam thinking is it really important to consider PR?

    i need immediate opinion guys.. thanks in advance..

    i dont think PR is given more weightage these days. there was a time when everybody used to search for Prs but now the trend is changed. One should look for relevancy, the blog you are commenting in should be in some way related to your site's theme

    It's of minimal importance to PR, if any. Most blog comments with have nofollow attributes.

    Commenting on a blog for the sake of getting an incoming link will not be worth your time given that most blogs have rel="nofollow" added to comment links in the first place. If you contribute often and well, you could get the attention of the blog owner or another reader who then may decide to check out your blog. If the quality of the content on your blog is good enough, you MIGHT be able to get a quality incoming link from it, but don't hold your breath.
