Is it really easy to get a PR5?

Discussion in 'Google' started by heyheykaty, Nov 29, 2009.

I have often come across in those PR threads where webmasters claims its easy to get a PR5 . But in my experience its even hard to get to a PR4. What is the best way to increase PR. I know its by building more back links. Will the submissions to directories help to reach a PR5 or even higher? But those are very time consuming, anymore easy ways ?

First off - what do you want PR 5 for?
It's got little practical use, except to tell people you've got PR 5 . whoopee.
Advertisers and/or anyone looking to buy the site, if they;ve got any sense, will want to know what traffic you've got, not the toolbar PR number.
That being said - most directories are useless - the page your link is on often isn't even indexed, let alone having any PR itself. If raising your PR is really what you want, you need high links from high PR pages.

Dont count just on PR, traffic is what makes your website worth while, I could have a PR 4 with no traffic, what would be the point? if any?

Some people get PR 5 easily because they have access to higher PR pages. These links will help to boost up PR of a page easily. If you have a few PR7 pages, it is possible to get a lot of PR4 and 5s with some linking techniques.

I won't say that it is easy, but possible. Directories and similar stuff will do PR3 the most. Higher ranking are received whether if you buy juicy backlinks or get them somehow natural ways.

I spent about 3 years doing manual link exchange to reach PR 5. Sometimes it gets lowered to PR 4 and back up. Easiest way is to get your site viral and bloggers to write about you.

I have gotten a site from PR0 to PR4 in a month or so, so I would assume with a bit more work PR5 is easily attainable within a short timeframe.

PR5 can be relatively easily obtained but directory submissions won't do it. You'll need some decent backlinks from high PR pages.

Google is always changing there formula, and I swear it's a lot more work than it used to be. Just keep getting backlinks when you can.

All you need is juts some links from high pr sites but most importantly, focus on real SEO items, not just PR but links, and quality of links.

To get a higher page rank you need incoming links from sites with even higher page ranks. Getting links from sites with a page rank of 5 or more is tough.

It is not easy to get a PR5. But actually PR is useless unless you want to sell links on your site.

Used to be very easy, buying some high quality links.

Now-a-days things are different. Getting a PR higher then 3 seem to be really hard these days.

Yeah...pr 5 is pushing it unless you already have some high pr sites under your belt. Or access to them.
