Yeah going to be there for a very long time, expect many losses, not on the scale of Vietnam but the losses all add up, it won't be long till it hits 3,000 US losses. It will end up a lot like Vietnam though, thousands and thousands of troops out in the arsehole end of nowhere wondering just what they are actually fighting for. It makes me sad and angry. The "war on terror" bullshit mantra is wearing thin now.
I think I heard on the news the other day that this war has cost more than Vietnam already in dollars!
I don't think so. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone that claims to be from the UK saying that word. You hear it enough in the US. But I when I think of all the time I spent in the UK over the years, I never once heard that word used over there, EVER. I think it is just an AGS thing, not a "British" thing.
Nah, it's definitely more common in great Britain and Europe. It's also not considered as vulgar as it is here.
Odd, I guess I just never heard it there... I got things like, pissed, knackered, bloody, etc... If I was motivated the learn the language, I would probably live there.
Our soldiers are not meant to be babysitters. Told to leave Sadr City today? If we are there---who the fuck is that guy to tell us anything? Flatten the place or go home. The Iraqis are useless. Prop up a dictator after crushing the population or leave. Nothing else will work. spare me the humanitarian bable as well. Time to be practical. Our foreign policy has never given a shit about others. Maybe split the country. Then all hell brakes out with maybe the Turks getting involved. Give the country to Iran? Stay the course? Bah. Great choices. Remember Mission Accomplished boyz.
Our soldiers want out, they are tired of being on their fourth tour and they are tired of being sitting ducks with targets on their backs for Halliburton! The American people understand the scam completely now, Cheney is a greedy liar and a traitor to the American Nation!
Are you just posting random rants in every thread or do you actually try to post off topic each time?
In the US, you say that to a women, no matter what the context and you are going to get your ass kicked!
Peter (watching Cricket on British TV): What the hell is he talking about? Englishman: Oh, it's Cricket. Marvelous game, really. You see, the bowler hurls the ball toward the batter who tries to play away a fine leg. He endeavors to score by dashing between the creases, provided the wicket keeper hasn't whipped his bails off, of course. Peter: Anybody get that? Cleveland: The only British idiom I know is that "fag" means "cigarette." Peter: Well, someone tell this "cigarette" to shut up.
I just want you, Mia, GTech and Spencer to serve your leader, you know he has job openings, show your full support Lorien!
I'm sorry, fellas, but I for one don't give a damn what the cultural context is. There are many women here from many lands, and this bullshit needs to go bye-bye. It isn't funny. Just my $0.02.
