Hello, Is it possible web host to affect Google PR, i have high link popularity and when i check my Google PR with some software it say that it is "fake/forged". How can i fix this problem ? King Regards...
Your hosting shouldn't affect your PR - it's backlinks that count and they're the same regardless of where you host your site.
If your website's business isn't selling text links, don't worry about "fake pr" indicator, just look at your SERPS.
I think the response you're getting (fake/forged) may be because your website appears both on www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com (without the www). You could use a 301 redirect from the one without the 'www' to the one with 'www' and that will solve the problem. However, this doesn't seem like a serious problem to me, so there's no real need to solve the problem.
no-www and www could be a serious problem for PR if there are links to both sites (this is especially bad when internal links are relative, then both the www. and non-www sites may get completely indexxed and share PR in some way). Canonizing the urls with 301 redirects is a good idea
Pagerank is related to incoming links pointing to your site, where you host your site has nothing to do with pagerank.
The serious problem is that to mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com there is different number of back links, which i think it is very bad
your hosting will not effect your page rank . it's only related with your backlinks. adding the code above will make the same for your urls with www and without www
I would say yes. My web host suspended one of my leading directory that I have with them for 18 months or so. This would cause issues with SE and will have negative effect on the PR. Still waiting for an answer from them, kind of bad. thanks
Only way it would affect you is: 1. If you are on a shared IP. Dedicated IPs are always better. If you are on an IP address that may have been banned (like another site), it can negatively affect you. For all you know, there are 300+ sites on that IP address about casinos and viagra and mortgages and you'll be in trouble. 2. Your hosting, for whatever reason, is not reliable (like if you have downtime). When that happens, if the Googlebot can't access your page, you can suffer.
