What would happen if a group of people (10,100,1000) however many, decided to ban together and click a bunch of ads on a particular site? Would google ban the site or arbitrarily adjust the payout for that day? Or would google give no payout at all? Does anyone know the answer to that question???
Google wouldn't pay, and in any event, why would you want to attempt to steal from advertisers? And if you did, Google might press criminal charges or sue you. Concentrate you efforts on something more productive.
you will only get paid if people actually click on the ad's. you can't choose to have pay per impression on your website unless your chosen to have it. so go ahead and sign up for google adsense now, it will take about a week for them to accept you. then you can create your customized ad's as either text, image, or both for your website. each page can have up to 3 google ad's on it, not including link ad's or search ad's.
It would have to be a huge site. If it were a site like most of us have, they could not handle 10,000,000 onsite at the same time. And it would take so long to split the visits up, the clicks may look normal. But if the site is big and can handle 10 mil visitors at once, then I would assume they have a special relationship with google. In fact, there are probably sites that get hundreds of clicks, if not thousands, in a short time. Squidoo comes to mind. I have not found anything definite, but I do believe that google has ways of dealing with click bombing in a fair and balanced way. This keeps people from doing crazy things like is suggested. We can disagree, but isn't this forum supposed to help people? Stephen C
I apologize if I upset anyone suggesting this. My point is that Google should be more transparent. Isn't it quite possible google could cancel your account if you were innocent and had absolutely nothing to do with the click bomb? Also, someone suggested google could sue you for that type of thing. Would someone more knowledgeable than me respond to that--isn't that a ludicrous staement that google could sue for someone just indiscriminately clicking on ads??? Where on the internet, or any local, stae or fedral law does it say you cannnot click on internet ads? I understand that's google's policy, but if you dont have a google account, how does that apply to you???
Clicking on ads is a lot different than organizing a group of people to perform 10 million clicks on a single site. As far as an innocent person being banned by adsense - I have never ever seen it. It's always some idiot complaining about his account being banned for "no reason" only to discover there indeed was a valid reason.
