My site theoretically (but not in reality) gets as much traffic as JobBoardReviews dot com (as predicted by keyword tools etc..) That site has 7 companies which pay 100 dollars a month for ads. However, maybe the companies are just buying page rank or maybe not. My site Find Fast Work dot com - "jobs in my area" - keyphrase - # 2 rank Job Board Reviews dot com - "Job Boards" - keyphrase - # 5 rank - not "Job board" where it is not on the front page. My site got around 20 people a day the last time I checked (a few weeks ago). Of course my site's design isn't the best. But I would change that to attract ads. But nonetheless, does the site have a chance at getting ads.
If you are thinking for local ads then it will work for you if you give some importance to offline marketing of your website.
Basically, I'm asking this question: Will big companies who pay JobBoardReviews.com (# 5 for "Job Boards" - Google USA) 99 dollars a mo for front page ads pay me the same amount? My site is # 2 for a term "jobs in my area (Google USA)" and gets only 1000 fewer searches then "Job Boards" according to wordtracker free keyword tool. In addition Job Board Reviews isn't on the front page for "Job Board (singular)". Yet it still gets those ads. The "Job Board" tool gets more searches according to Google keyword tool but not the wordtracker tool. But of course I don't really know how much traffic "Job Board Reviews.com" is getting. But I don't think that site is much different than mine. It's nothing like hotjobs.com or something like that.
Well why don't you join a CPA network and put job banners it convert well i mean there offer in CJ allow user only to upload his/her resume and get paid 5 $ per lead
A site getting 20 visits a day is not going to attract advertisers who pay $99 a month. Your best option is to charge per click using a click script and work on increasing your traffic.
Then why does JobBoardReviews use 99 dollar a mo ads? If leads are worth 5 dollars a lead then 100 dollars a mo makes sense. You can get 500 dollars worth of leads. Let's say 100 out of a 1000 people click on your ad each mo. 100 * 5 = 500 dollars. You have a profit of 400 dollars. That's the only logic I can see in big companies paying 99 dollars an ad on JobBoardReviews.com Why? What is the reason for people paying 99 dollars a month?
But quancast.com says they don't get more traffic. Based on my calculations using keyword tools they don't. At least they don't get much more traffic. From my ad in advertising:
Yeah, if you wanna company pay your ads on your site, the first thing you must do is improve your traffic and let more visitors come to your site!
So that's about the worst way to go about building a website. Make a great website first with quality content. This will bring you visitors and in turn those visitors will bring you advertisers and revenue. You can't start looking for advertisers when you don't have a decent website yet.
