Is it possible to rank on #1 in google with PR 0 and 8 Domain Authority ?

I am almost fed up to read SEO updates submitted by different authors. Everybody writes something unique and experts always use them but after working hard they don't get result. Today I saw a website which is 4 months old and having PR 0 , Domain Authority 8. It has only 10 links in it's history. No Blogs, No That much content but still ranking on #1 with very high competitor keywords. They mentioned they did something new but what's new ?? I have been see it on #1 for last 2 months. Why did not it penalized by Google ? And How did it achieve #1 ranking in 2 months with very very high competitor keywords ???

 

I regularly rank sites within months of their launch.

If you'll share the details of the example you saw, I might be able to provide some insight. What was the keyword and domain?

If you can imagine, you can achieve it. However, until you reach the first place in Google, you won't longer have such low domain authority..

 

I went through the Backlink profile of the site and found it should really penalized under Google Manual Actions or should be hit by any Google updates. It may be possible that being a new domain & fewer links (most of them are really worth consideration prior to get a link), it's getting "First time experience".

 

I have checked and find that yes, website is ranking by SEO Company and Seo services but they have PR 0 and DA is 9. I don't know from how much they are ranking, Kim, will you please confirm from how much time they are ranking in top 10. But 1 more questions there is 1 more websites that is coming on top 3 with SEO Company, they have 8 backlinks but DA is 19, so how it is possible.

Wow, you've stumbled onto something here.

You're correct with most of your metrics, but look more closely at their backlinks. You said they have 10 of them, and yes, that's what MOZ reports, but they don't do a great job of finding backlinks.

You'll want to research backlinks with a tool like Majestic SEO or AHrefs instead.

If I pull together a majestic report, I see that they've got 97 links to their home page ... not 10.

However, having said that ... I just spent around an hour researching them vs. their competitors, and, while it's possible that they could be ranked on page 1, I don't see why they're in the #1 spot. They don't have more or better social signals, their linking profile is terrible (based on what I see from Majestic) and their link velocity is sub-standard.

So, something is going on here that I haven't been able to put my finger on yet. I'll keep digging and let you know what I discover. I am keenly interested in whatever they're doing.

Pagerank has nothing to do with your actual ranking in the SERPS, nowadays it's used more to show the quality of a backlink, e.g. a PR8 backlink is worth more than a PR1 backlink.

 

Alrighty, I've connected with some of my SEO buddies and we've narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities.

1. They are using redirects - pointing high PR domains to theirs with a 301 redirect. This is risky because it seems that Penguin 2.0 cracked down on this, so they may not be doing a ton of it, but it's a possibility. It's also difficult to verify.
2. They are using links from a private blog network that they've tweaked to block the bots from Majestic / ahrefs / moz, etc ... so people like us can't reverse engineer it.

Of course, they could be doing something else entirely, but that's what I think.

 

Dont worry about that. Google gives a grace period of 6 months to all websites and during that period they rank well even without good profile.
You will see that the website will find its place in due course of time.
Keep working on your SEO techniques in the right way.

Just do site submission, social book markings... If your site is strong in on-page. Then go with off-page. Concentrate on creating more valid back links for your site. Get some SEO tools from online.

 

Anoop this website has been here for last 3 months and google did not penalize it yet...
