Is it possible to rank high for ANY keyword ?

Hello,

I was wondering whether someone can help me out by answer a few questions for me:

- Is it possible to rank very high ( top 5 ) for VERY VERY competitive keywords ?
such as: Online Datingsite ... ???

Would it be possible to rank top 5 for this keyword by doing SEO ?

Or is this practicly impossible because the first page is filled with really popular websites such as match.com etc... ???

( These websites don't do SEO )

Nothing is impossible in Google Search SEO. The more you do quality link building with using the specific targeted keyword the more you will gain. It's difficult to get such keywords in top 10 results. You will need to hire some seo expert and you will need big investment for the same.

A better alternative for you is to give the ads in Google Adwords on the targeted keyword result, this will surely help you.

 

Well if you ask me, You will be wasting your time building more and more links to the keyword. These keywords are owned by the legends in the world of SEO. So it would be practically impossible to get to the first page. Instead concentrate on a less competitive keyword and try to promote it for short term and the high competitive one for the long term.

 

I agree you will be wasting your time you should go for less competitive keywords

 

Why would I be wasting my time and money ??

If I hire a full time SEO expert, and let him work on my website for 2 years.
Would it than be possible :S ???

Or would it still be almost impossible to rank first page for this keyword.

 

You have to weigh up how much time an money you have versus the need to rank for particular keywords. The term you refer to is going to be fiercly competitive so realistically unless you are prepared to throw ££££ at it then you would be better of looking for less competitive niche words and phrases.

 

If you do it alone it's a waste of time.
However, if you got a sh*t load of money and a team that is ready to promote your website you might got a chance.
You will also need a website that is better than your competition to get it populated.

 

Ya obviously its very much possible to rank on any keyword you want. But the time and resources cannot be known.

 

It is not impossible but somewhat difficult to achieve the target. It might take a big time. You need a big SEO time, build links from some high PR sites.

 

The fact is that most of dating companies don't do so much SEO workl, because of structure of these websites. Dating websites like a social network. The main ranking factor for them is traffic. If you have a huge base of members and good on-site activity you'll definitely will be on the top of Google without any SEO. For example russian****match.com - they have more than 200 000 members from both sides (men and women). There are a lot of "wedding agencies" where girls (members) work, not looking for their love or husband, but WORK. They talk to men, make them fall in love and ask for gifts which this website offers. Men pay for gift, and girls get a % from that sum they paid. Another piece of that sum administration of website charges, also they charge money for membership from men, while it's free for women. In that way they gain billions of dollars and simply don't care about SEO, SMM and their old-school HTML website.

As far as I know, most of dating companies offer affiliate marketing. They better pay people to promote their website all over the www instead of doing this hard work by themselves.

And yes, it's a matter of time and money. More you've got - better positions you'll have.

Yes, it's possible you can do that. But it'll take time.

 

If you have that much money, we need to talk. But seriously, you would probably be better off investing in some good tools like Market Samurai or Micro Niche Finder and finding a huge load of long tail keywords that are easily dominated. Are there ways to get to where you want? Definitely. But, it takes time, many resources and its an ongoing battle. Better to be king of many kingdoms than put all of your eggs in one basket.

Yes you are right you can't really rank high without time and money for high competitive keywords like this.

Thats MONEY and Now that would be a whole lot of money for TWO YEARS.

 

Nothing is impossible . if you work hard and sincerely. you can reach there.

 

Anything is possible, however, it will be difficult and take a long time. You might have to wait until your website is extremely popular too. I think it's better to target less popular keywords.

 

With the right amount of knowledge, resources, time, & bank roll anyone can rank for any highly competitive keyword. The reality is even if you have all those things in place you still have to do the research & develop a profitable game plan.

At the end of the day. You tell me... Will the ends justify the means?

 

You need to weigh up if the the time and investment in getting that keyword is worth your while. There is no point at throwing $100,000 at securing top spot for a key word if it will only bring you an additional $50,000 in income. Similarly if securing two or three less competitive terms will give you the same traffic you need to consider if it is worth it. Remember that its not possible to give an exact estimate for home much money you would need to throw at a search term to make an impact!
