Is it possible to pay 1 cent per click using Adwords

I am new to Adwords, I am not selling any product and want to just bring targeted traffic to my blog through Adwords. Do you think it is possible to get around 1000 quality visitors per day with only 1 cent per click? if not, any other recommendation? thanks a lot for your help.

I just read the minimum bid is 5 cents, so it seems impossible.

Very unlikely. Some keywords do have 1 cent bid, but they are usually keywords that are not searched for. So 1000 clicks at that rate is almost impossible... because there simply isn't 1000 people to click.

1 cent may be pretty hard, but 10-15 cents is totally possible. The click price largely depends on your quality score. You need a good landing page, with relevant, original content, and good CTR. Once your quality score hits 8 or 9/10, you'll notice a significant drop in your auto bid.

Long ago, you can bid $0.01, but now I don' t think so. The price of bid is depend on what kw of topic you use. I suggest you to use long tail keyword, try to use more adgroups, one adgroup should not contain more than 15 kw. The ads text for each adgroup should contain the main kw as possible.

You will have to do a really good job with targeting a micro niche, 5 - 10c per click is more realistic

If you put only 1 cent per click you will not get more traffic...

1 cent per bid is definitely possible if you advertise only on content network. The min bid for search network is 5 cents. But you can only get traffic at that cost if your niche isn't that competitive.

TIP: use text and image ads both to get the maximum amount of traffic :)

It'll be tough to get a 1c click - if not impossible. If you do then nobody else is bidding on it (the item/service) - and usually if nobody else is bidding, it doesn't sell/make money.

You might be better served by using the 'Content' network of Adwords; you can bid as low as .01. How much traffic depends on the keyword. What KW are you looking at?

thanks for all your reply. I am testing my campaign, receiving only a few traffic so far.

I am still searching keywords relevant to my blog content.

It will be very difficult to bid so low if you are using any keywords that get decent traffic. I own a blog about making money online(very hot keywords) and Gooogle was suggesting bids of almost a dollar a click!

$1 a click for that phrase? That seems cheap considering how often you see it advertised.

So you'll be blogging about stocks in general, or a specific stock?

True, you're not going to see traffic via .01 CPC through the search network; that keyword phrase is just too competitive. But with the 'content' network you'll probably get a lot of impressions, especially if you set the geolocation to worldwide.

my blog is about how to do trading research for stocks, and options. stock quote is one of my keywords. Now I increase the price to 0.1$ for search and 0.05$ for content. waiting to see the results.
