Is it possible to negatively affect the Search position drastically in some ways?

Few months back I had published a blog post about a freelance site. Surprisingly this post started getting lot of search traffic. And, this post appeared in Google first page (even first position) for lot of keywords (e.g vworker)

But this traffic was completely stopped few weeks back. I couldn't understand the reason.
I have done only below two changes recently in this blog post.
    - Added meta details for this post in blogger template itself.
    - Just added a link to our new site GetBestJobs.com

I haven't done anything other than these two things.

I don't think these two small changes will stop the search traffic completely. There should be some solid reason.

Actually this post is about my bad experience with that freelance site. So, I think they might have done some thing negatively to affect the SEO. (Few weeks back someone from that site added their comments in this Post) It is possible to do such things? And, how to find whether it has been done or not? And how to bring back the search traffic again?

it could have just gotten re-indexed as part of the Google Panda update. Just keep doing what you are doing for it to come back.
