i am thinking about investing a chunk of change into mailing lists, its a very small investment for what i plan on getting back but lets say i managed to get a 5,000-10,000 optin email list for niche groups every 1-2 months do you think it would be possible to earn big money with them and keep it consistant or at least earn enough money to make it spread out for very long periods of time just incase they go dead? because the math really adds up quick, if i had a list of 5,000 opt in emails all looking for same type products and i send a email out to them and lets say 4,500 get the email 2,000 open it. and from 2,000 lets say 3% convert for the product which is 60 sales for that product. and lets say the product pays out 17$ commission. thats 1,070$ over night. I think i am being fair with rough estimates some might say even lower than normal stats for a 5,000 person list but thats a great return for giving them free products and then every week trying to sell them a product. and i've heard of peoples lists converting up to 30% and imagen if you had a 10,000 people list and growing every month. You literally would just have to type out a sales letter and send it out and make months income over night if your list was good enough. But for me i am not going for good enough right now i am going for quantity i guess i can get about 200-1000 uniques every day to a squeeze page for certain niches. I think i could convert at least 30% who all visit so at 200 a day thats 60 people so thats 1,800 people a month at the very least or 9,000 if i got 1,000 uniques a day. So lets say i build 10 lists over the month and each brought in like 500-1000$ on conversions, do you think this is a realistic goal here? Do you think it is possible?
I think that it is totally achievable if you deliver constant useful content to your list. The high conversion does not comes easily.. it builds up through time and trust through your content or advise. Yes, it really is achievable. Many of the top gurus are doing it. Like Kctan says deliver great content. And if you take care of your list, they will take care of you! Depending on your niche and if it is a profitable niche you can maybe make your own product, like a short report that you can giveaway from and include an opt-in form to get your list started. But within this report it has to be very useful and valuable info. I find that the quality free products tend to get viral on their own once people start telling others about it. You can also have a link to your blog/site as well to bring traffic there. Just a thought, ~Love2Write~
