Is it Possible to Install over 50+ MODs for vBulletin?

    Hi and thanks for coming!

I'm currently developing my forum using vBulletin. I have collected 50+ MODs, and planning to integrate them into my sites.

All MODs are compatible with 3.6.X version. Each MODs work and function on different part of the forum so I'm wondering is it possible for them NOT to interfere with each other?

Any advice & ideas will be well appreciated :)

P.S. I'm a novice so I hired a programmer, she has installed a couple of MODs and already it works wonderful, she told me she's intermediate in vBulletin, and said that more than 40+ of the MODs I choose is easy to install, however, even she isn't sure how things will turn out in the final production , which gets me a little worried.

In general, the mods are designed not to conflict with other mods. But, if some mods are similar and share sources files that need to be changed, or both mods need a single file changed differently, unexpected results may happen.

Make sure if she started to mod it, she's the one to finish all of them. Only she know what has changed.

If one doesn't know what's been changed, does that mean they have to install a FRESH one?

Just backup things before proceeding forth and you'll do good. Mods need to be monitored on their performance, so it is always better to put the forum on maintainance mode, or try them out on a temporary subdomain, before trying it on your main one.

No, but what they did might causes error or conflict with another mod.

You're welcome~! Just remember to backup before every modding so that..if anyhow it failed, you can recover it back. Good luck =D

i'm gonna tell my coder to backup everything he do, just in case - don't worry, i'll remain 3.6.x for YEARSS to come, upgrading is the last thing on my mind :p

you can install every mod at vb.org if you want, but a little tip.
the more mods you add, the possibility for an exploit increases ;)
and I would suggest using 3.7... you'll be able to cut down on some of your mods, since they are built into 3.7.x

    ps.. 3.8 beta is at vb.com ;)
