Is it possible to install IE6 on vista?

obviously, IE6 is still the main browser
and I've looked all over google and can't find a true way to install IE6 on vista without a virtual machine :(

so, does anyone have a true way of installing IE6 along side IE7 on vista?

    thanks :)

I've just tried to install it, and haven't actually been able to. But if my memory serves me right, you can just copy all the files from the IE folder of a machine running IE6 and put it in a folder somewhere and then create shortcuts to that location.

However, out of interest why would you want to? What is wrong with IE7?

    Thanks

hes right. A large portion of web users do not know anything about the internet, have XP installed, and know nothing about different browsers, so will not have FF or IE7. this is why sites MUST be tested in IE7.

I would advise perhaps using a friends PC with IE7 on it. Or asking someone in services forum to take a look.
