Is it possible to get specific google ads to appear on your site?

Basically my fav site is a blog, whilst I often write about music, movies, tv and computer stuff, sometimes I go off into weird stuff. I would imagine that most visitors to the site would share similar interests to me, so therefore music, movies, tv and computer would be of more interest to people. Problem is, I seem to get a lot of wierder ads that would probably be of little interest to visitors and therefore I'd expect a relatively low CTR. Is there a way I can improve the targeting or type of ads I get on my site?

I'm using wordpress so any coding tips (where to put code and what code to use) would be greatly appreciated. :)

I think section targeting is what you are in need of.
