    Hi

I saw one web directory which was just launched 5 days ago and has PR 3. How is that possible?? I have my directory which is still not ranked and its almost 1 month old.

Can any1 tell me how that site gained such huge leap?

    Thanks for your time

Impossible because the toolbar hasn't updated yet.

Ya, and plus there hasn't been a PR update yet. Probably both and dropped domain or just a domain that came with PR.

Maybe the domain has had a PR3 before the directory has been launched on it?

you already got answers. I'd like to add that 'it is possible to get pr3' few days after you launch, but only in google's internal index...meaning it won't be visible to you via Toolbar.

If it is an old domain, PR comes much more easily, as age is a factor in PR calculations, methinks.

I know a web site that was just launched, but it has PR 4 and listed in DMOZ.
When I checked its DMOZ link, I found out that sometime ago it was different site with different content.
Someone smart just bouth this domain from old owner and filled with his own content.
But! As of now most back links to this site are related to the different product (the old one)! I don't now if they will keep PR4 for long time.

probably its PR will change as new contents has been placed to the site...wait for the next PR update to see the results.
However, i also agree with reztar its possible that its the old domain with PR.
And its impossible to get PR3 in just 5 days, Unless...there was PR update during those period of time.

he may be just having a fake PR, google has not yet been able to sort out the fake PR issue, so also be careful when you buy links, when it comes cheap be suspicious
