Is it possible to get good links without link baiting and buying them?

    Is it possible to get good links without buying links or link baiting? All the free ways give your website hardly any credit. I've tried free directory submission, article submission, social bookmarks, blog commenting and reciprocal links, and none of them really help that much.

    People used to build up links, but it will just take a lot longer for you to get as many backlinks as you would want...

    all the methods you tried wil give you backlinks but it will take time for google to show the backlinks. idea is to just keep building links and never give up

    In my view, there is no way of getting "good" links. All links are great beause the viral nature of the net may inspire others to link to you from clicking on your link.

    Submitting relevant articles to websites such as EzineArticles.com (PR6) and other article websites can work well. Also, try creating free blogs on blogger and make some posts about the topic(s) of your website(s) and put a link to your website, and that should help too. Make sure to ping the blog to get it indexed by google and do a few link exchanges. If you promote your blog along side your websites you can have a blog that generates adsense revenue and simultaneously promote your website. I did this with an auto parts website and it helped me rank for a competitive term and the blog made about $20/month from adsense with minimal effort.

    Also, another easy link building method is your fellow DP members. Just try the link exchange section of the forum. If these methods haven't been working for you, you are probably optimizing for keywords with little traffic or you aren't doing enough SEO.
