I have a script, but i think the person who created it has left some kind of backdoor in the script, or the script is some how communicating with his site.

I think its there for syndication, but i dont want to be syndicated or allow this guy access to my site

im looking for somebody to have a look through the script. i will send you a zip of it and you can look through all the original files and point out anything malicious.

    Hi!
Did you pay for the script? If you did...I would contact the person who provided the script and have him/her take out that part. If it is a free script..I simply would look elsewhere. There's no telling what could be in there if this "syndication" part was taken out..it could really do some damage if you're not very careful.

Even if it's a purchased script, it could be communicating with the creator's site to check if a license is valid, etc. There are a number of legitimate reasons why a script would do this. I would recommend you contact the creator, and ask them stating what activity you've observed.
