I currently run an SMF forum, i am having problems with members using proxies to make multiple accounts. Is it possible to detect them and or block them? I have one user that is suspect, for doing this to cheat in a referral contest. He has over 90 referrals out of 105 referral link clicks, seems very fishy to me. I use statcounter to monitor visits, and i noticed almost all of his referrals were from the same location however, The forum user tracker, does not detect any of the ip's being in the same range. How can i prove whether or not he is cheating?
