Is it possible to do affiliate marketing on wordpress.COM site?

I just stumbled on that idea, I was wondering if anyone has any idea, since technically wordpress.com prohibits you from making any money from your site/blog there.

If you put in the odd affiliate marketing link here and there, I doubt your blog will get taken down. They are somewhat lenient if you've got a decent blog with genuine readers.

If your blog screams "affiliate marketing", then wp.com is not the place to be.

 

It is possible if you won't make your site to a banner farm. Use some text links instead of banners and everything will be ok. Just do not over stuff with them as it will look too spammy to your readers. Make sure, that these links are in plain HTML, not javascripts.

 

I've made money using this method. No one mentioned about this to wordpress. So it's working but if you go big ... you can only be shut down.

 

Definitely possible. You can make tons of money if you do it correctly.

 

It works, but always remember that they can take your blog away anytime.
