As the title says, is it possible to create a Facebook page that isn't tied to my personal profile?

No, but the link won't be visible so you have a degree of anonymity.
I've recently created a troll page and there is nothing to link it back to me - I don't say much but didn't want my semi-political rants bogging down the newsfeeds of my friends

Ok. Because the page will be for an article website I've set up. The links I'd be adding on FB would probably be considered 'click-bait'. As far as I know I wouldnt be going against the Facebook terms of use. But I was worried that down the line if terms changed and my page was closed down that my personal profile could end up getting closed too?

What does Facebook consider to be trolling?

Famous FB pages such as McDonald's do not show who the owner of the page is, right?

So yes can opt not to link your personal profile to your FB page by not adding your account as the 'featured page owner'.

However, you will need a personal account to create the page.
