Is it possible to create a directories plugin?

    Same as in social networks, webmasters can submit their web site using a plugin that will suggest the link to many free web directories.

    which might create lots of duplicate and spammy content :) AND put directory submitters our of business :)

    Are you looking for someone to create it or you are just wondering if it can be done or not? many things can be done btw.

    There are few like website submitter software which submits your site to directories listed in their software

    I am thinking to add this feature to my directory list.The whole concept is still hazy because there are not api or standard for directories; unless we have to create an api for the plugin.
