Is it possible to check who red-repped me?

    Hello!

Some people @ DP are red repping me even if I start any thread in the DP Buy/Sell forums section. I earn few points by helping new DP people or who need help for their questions (if I'm able to help). And someone gives me red reps for no reason.

Since I don't know who is giving me green or red reps, I can't directly post complaints against him. I'm scared to see that I'm getting closer to red reputation icons because of these people who red rep me.

A person red repped me just a few hours ago, because I started a thread in the link sales section, and left this message:

"you just joined...give me a break already"

I do understand that an infraction is given by a DP moderator and even I got one. But an infraction is to alert forum members not to repeat any wrong thing once again. But this type of red-repping thing is making me sad. :(

Please guide me what to do!

    Thanks!

No, if you could, you would see it with the rep.

Red rep is anonymous. Otherwise we would have red rep wars.

just a quick question--i just got a red rep with the comment "finger banging" for a fairly innocent post that i couldnt imagine getting rep (either positive or negative) for--does "finger banging" have some meaning online other than the "offline meaning"? anyway, just curious since it seemed like a kind of funny/strange comment.

Everybody gets red (sometimes with very annoying comments) you just need not to care about it, it's not very important.
Btw how much red rep we need to get banned?

Rubeina, no one gets banned from red rep. Members are banned for accumulating too many infraction points (5 points for new users, 10 for veteran users).

Actually, I'm not trying to care much about reps now.. but this person is chasing me in each and every thread, I guess. Again red-repped me with this message:

    "trace me motherfucker lol"

It's really a shame that DP officials aren't doing anything against such sick people. :(

You can see your rep points and the last 5 rep comments received here:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/usercp.php

Everybody starts with 10 initial rep points and this may increase or decrease according to the rep points you receive from other members.

You can't know the exact rep points of other members but, you can know the range from the number of green squares they have. e.g. if a member has two green blobs, then you know that his/her rep points are between 100 - 200. You can further narrow it down by looking at the title that appears when you bring the mouse over the blobs. If for instance, a member has two blobs and the title say " **** will be famous soon enough" then he must be between 100-150, if it says " **** has a spectacular aura about" it means the member has 150-200 rep. points...:)

I got this red rep for a rather harmless search engine related post:

    "Dirty Swedish trash"

    :D

(and I'm pretty sure I actually did take a shower that day)
