    I think you can definitely sway someone in the direction you want, but in the end, it is them and only them that can truly change themselves.

    many times when we were wrong about something, or when we were adducted to have that opinion when we find the truth we change our thinking ;)

    The best way to change the way a person is thinking is not to tell them how to think.
    It's to let them figure out on their own what you mean, that way they will understand better.
    That's how it works in scools as well, the teacher guides you, but you still have to do the homework yourself.
